Context Intro: What is Entrepreneurship?
โฑ 15 Minutes

Explain entrepreneurship through a simple story: Discover a Problem โ†’ Create a Solution โ†’ Offer Value People Will Pay For

๐Ÿฅต
1. Discover a Problem
Little Ming was playing in the park and felt thirsty, but the snack bar was closed. He noticed: "There's nowhere to buy drinks in the park!"
๐Ÿ’ก
2. Create a Solution
Ming talked with his mom and prepared lemons, water, and sugar to set up a small drink stand in the park.
๐Ÿ’ฐ
3. Offer Value People Pay For
He put up a sign saying "Fresh Lemonade, $5 a cup." Everyone found it fair, and he sold 30 cups in one day!

๐ŸŽฏ What Does the Story Teach Us?

๐Ÿงญ Student Participation Guidelines

1
Notice Everyday Inconveniences

School, sports, shopping, home... what daily troubles do you run into? Jot them down.

2
Ask "Why is it like this?"

Don't just describe the surface problemโ€”dig deeper into the root causes behind it.

3
Think Boldly, Don't Fear Wild Ideas

The first step of entrepreneurship is having courage to imagine. Crazy ideas are often the most creative starting points!

4
Listen to Teammates & Build Together

Great ideas are co-created. Respect every idea and build on top of each other's thoughts.

5
Prepare to Share Your Thinking Process

Don't just give the "final answer"โ€”share how you arrived at your idea. The journey is just as important as the outcome!

๐Ÿ†

"Entrepreneurship isn't just for adults. You face problems every day, which means you can be a young entrepreneur every day!"

๐Ÿ”
Problem Discovery: Everyday Pain Points
โฑ 20 Minutes

Each team draws a "Problem Card" and discusses how to solve it. Instructors guide students using 5W1H analysis.

๐Ÿƒ Problem Card Examples

Problem CardGuiding Questions (5W1H)
๐Ÿ“š Backpack is too heavyWho is affected? When does it happen? Why is it heavy?
โœ๏ธ Can't find stationeryWhere do you look? What method do you use to find it?
๐Ÿฑ Long queue for school lunchHow long is the wait? How many people? Why is it slow?

๐ŸŽฎ Brainstorming Games

01
Random Word Challenge
  • Draw a "Problem Card"
  • Draw a "Random Word Card" (Balloon, Robot, Rainbow...)
  • Use the word to solve the problem!

๐Ÿ“Œ Heavy Backpack + Balloon = Attach helium balloons to the backpack to lighten the load!

02
Craziest Idea Contest
  • 5 minutes per group to think of the "craziest" idea
  • The wilder, the better!
  • Vote to award the "Craziest Idea Award"

E.g., Talking Pen ("I'm right here!") / Pencil Case with Built-in GPS

03
Idea Relay Race
  • Person 1 presents an initial idea
  • Person 2 adds a function or twist
  • Pass it around the team to see how it transforms!
#1A backpack that cleans itself up
#2It also sorts books, homework, and stationery
#3It reminds you: "Math test tomorrow!"
#4Syncs with mobile app so mom knows if you packed everything

Product Design: Design a Chair
โฑ 25 Minutes

๐ŸŽฏ Today's Challenge: Design a chair that solves a real-life problem. Not just "comfortable to sit on"โ€”your chair must feature unique functionality that delivers value to a specific target user!

๐Ÿ‘ค Step 1: Who is your chair designed for?

First define your target user, then explore their needs. Select one or create your own:

๐Ÿ“š
Long-hour Students
Backache, focus issues, slouching
๐Ÿ‘ด
Senior Citizens
Hard to stand up, needs stability
๐ŸŽฎ
Esports Gamers
Sedentary, needs storage, wrist strain
๐Ÿฅ
Hospital Patients
Limited mobility, needs height adjustment
โœ๏ธ
Custom User
Target user from your Problem Card

๐Ÿ”ง Transform a Standard Chair using SCAMPER

Take a standard chair as your starting point and apply each SCAMPER dimensionโ€”what can your chair become?

S
Use memory foam instead of standard sponge cushion
Substitute materials or parts
C
Chair + Desk = Foldable integrated desk chair
Combine two items
A
Adapt car seat tech with built-in lumbar air cushions
Adapt external features
M
Adjustable chair legs suitable for different heights
Modify size or scale
P
Transform classroom chair into a foldable camping chair
Put to another use
E
Remove backrest to create a core muscle training seat
Eliminate a component
R
Invert legs upward to create a hanging swing chair
Reverse structure or order

โš™๏ธ Step 2: Design Your Chair's Features

Each chair design must incorporate the following three layers of feature design, from basic to innovative:

Basic Function
What is the core purpose?
What must a chair fundamentally achieve? Stable sitting? Lumbar support? Weight limit?
Special Feature
What distinctive feature does it offer?
E.g., Sedentary alerts, adjustable armrest angles, integrated storage, anti-slip design...
Innovative Feature
What completely unexpected function can it include?
E.g., Built-in temperature control, backrest converts to whiteboard, AI posture correction, solar charging panel...

๐Ÿ“‹ Step 3: Complete the Chair Design Specification

Fill out the table below as your design draft foundation:

Design CategoryYour Answer
๐Ÿช‘ Chair NameGive your chair a memorable name
๐Ÿ‘ค Target UserWho will use it? What is their pain point?
โš™๏ธ Basic FunctionStability, support, weight capacity...
โœจ Special Features (Min 2)How does it differ from a standard chair?
๐Ÿš€ Innovative Feature (1)The craziest, most creative function!
๐Ÿงฑ Primary MaterialsWood? Metal? Fabric? Recycled materials?
๐Ÿ’ฐ Target Selling PriceHow much are users willing to pay?
๐Ÿ“ Where to UseSchool? Home? Hospital? Office?

โœ๏ธ Step 4: Sketch Your Chair Concept

1
Draw front and side angle views

It doesn't need to be artisticโ€”just clearly convey the shape and structural design!

2
Label feature locations

Use arrows to point out where each feature is located on the chair.

3
Illustrate user context

Draw a simple figure sitting on your chair to demonstrate the usage scenario.

4
Craft a one-sentence selling point

Describe your chair in one sentence: "Designed specifically for ____ to enable ____"

5
Assemble into a poster

Combine "Problem + Solution + Concept Sketch" into a poster draft, ready for AI enhancement tomorrow!

๐ŸŽค
Pitch & Review
โฑ 20 Minutes

Each team takes 1 minute to introduce their product concept. Instructors offer encouraging feedback, celebrating creativity and courage!
